It is rain mixed with snow! There is actually a word to say the snow and rain combined version of weather.

So, I know, sleet is not my favourite thing.
I like the rain I like the snow. When both are combined it is bothering. Sleet will give way to freezing rain, I guess. The roads are going to be slippery. It will be hard to walk.
There is a correct definition: it is not the mix of rain and snow. It is the sort of rain drops falling on the ground as ice drops.
